I would be surprised if Henrique fetches a 1st maybe a 2nd and a good prospect but no more

A 1st for Henrique? That’s an interesting choice. A 1st for an aging center, which we don’t need. I’ll keep Kampf and Holmberg thanks.

      Modifié 14 janv. 2023 à 0 h 54. Raison: added a thought
I like all of these to one extent or another. Here are my thoughts:

I think that if we get a first for Klingberg, we'd have to give something back, like maybe a fourth. But Edmonton has the #1 power play in the league, and that's Klingberg's primary value now, so I doubt that they'd be interested in him. A contender under 20% on the PP would probably be a more likely destination for him.

I like the Ottawa deal just fine.

I think that we get at least a third for Kulikov, if not in the 2023 draft, then the 2024 edition.

With 3 seconds in the 2023 draft already, I'd actually rather have the Dallas pick in 2024, and since they gave away their 2023 first for Nils Lundkvist, the Stars probably would, too.

As with Klingberg, if we get a first for Henrique, I think we'd probably have to give something back. But I don't see Toronto needing a veteran center/LW, especially since they have a team faceoff-win percentage of 53.3. Colorado, with their hideous injury problems, seems to me to be a better place for a versatile veteran center than Toronto.

I really doubt that we'd have to pay to take Milan Lucic off Calgary's hands.

All in all, some really good ideas and values here. Welcome back from your hiatus, by the way.

As in 42 gp hes got 13 goals 9 assists. Not great and certainly not being worth a 1st.

That would put him 4th on the Maple Leafs among wingers, and he would provide faceoff help (53%, just behind Kampf and just ahead of Matthews) to whatever center he would be flanking. And there are some subtle indications that Anaheim isn't quite as good an offensive team as Toronto.

I think that he'd be a good LW for Matthews or Kampf, and is a good option if either gets tossed from the faceoff circle. Next season, are you going to be able to sign an equivalent player for $2,912,500?

He's an incredibly consistent ~45 point player who has been well over 50% in the faceoff dot for the last five seasons. The reason he is worth a 1st is that he isn't a rental, you get him for another season after this for under 3 mil AAV.

Also, he seemlessly switched between center and LW.

Rangers fans will give us a 3rd for Kulikov.

I think the 3rd is going the wrong way on Lucic's trade there.

I'm less confident we can get a 23 1st for kling, maybe a 24 is possible, or a 2nd and a good prospect.

I'm curious if we try to bury or buyout Silf next year.

My idea for a Henrique trade is 50% retention for their 2024 first (NOT their 2023) and we give them their 2023 third back (which we get from the Rangers in the Kulikov trade) or, failing that, we give them our 2024 third.

I made that trade in the same vein as Hagel last year. An additional year of retained cap as well rumors of TOR wanting him

I think most GMs have already determined what Klingberg is even with this season. Plus the Pul is almost a negative asset

Henrique is a decade older. Not at all the same.
