You know what? I like that Jackets trade. Foegele is having a rough year but his underlying numbers are actually very good. Reasonable contract, too. Plus a 2nd? I'm in.

You're not wrong, Foegele would essentially be next-year's Nyquist, which isn't the end of the world. The forwards seem to be having a field day in Cleveland though, so it also might not hurt to put someone like Sillinger in the AHL next year to develop and deal Foegele at next-year's deadline. Or Foegele gets dealt to a contender in the offseason prior to next season. Not exactly ideal, but I wouldn't hate a trade like that at all.
