This wouldnt happen this season. (mainly because doing all that on capfriendly next season is too mess, and i dont know how). Think maybe TDL or Draft timeline. Would want the Ranger to go into Free Agency with a roster looking like this.

Bottomline:

Laf -> Slaf -> Wright

Statistically I think the rangers are the one taking the short term hit for a HOPEFUL long term gain. Laf is under performing but MTL would get the rights to sign the hometown kid, Slaf goes to Sea in what i can see the only way SEA send Wright to NYR. Wright in NYR so we can have chemistry between Wright and Othman in years to come. Thinking about this because NYR needs to keep K.Miller and Kakko.

Trying to fix the Rangers for the long term with room to grow. Because this is all made up and i am in my underwear as i create this i am some what ignoring the NTC/MC on Trouba and not sure what trade list/ teams hed be looking for, but figured Trouba is somewhat close to his wife in her residency. Buyout would be costly and simply undo the changes that we are trying to make Idc. Just want Wright in NYR with Othman.
