I'm not sure you get a first line center for that price. I'm not even sure Toews can be a first line center anymore. I definitely think he could be reinvigorated and play a bigger game, but he doesn't seem to be in it anymore. Maybe a change of scenery and a reduced leadership role would help. Regardless, I get the hesitation to dole out a 1st round pick for him. Maybe conditions are in order when it comes to Toews. A 2nd round pick that turns into a 1st round pick if "so and so conditions are met".

All of these trades are off. Dumba with retention pulls a 1st. Boeser isn’t really a good target in my opinion. Braun? Why? There is zero chance Foligno is traded if all that’s coming back is a 3rd.

justin braun is a bit of a headscratch as is toews as far as making the wild a better hockey team is concerned but i mean the trade value looks fine in these deals. LA doesnt need dumba not even one bit, if anything it'll be stupid old kenny holland that laps him up like a dog slurping out of a puddle of mud and piss.

Don't forget Sean Durzi, who's playing LD precisely because we need a good one.
