That Campbell contract is one of the worst in the league as of now. Asking the Hawks (or any team) to take on $5M of cap for another 4 more seasons is going to cost a 1st just to move that cap hit. As such, i don't think this is enough to get it done despite including Holloway. Bourgault is a bit of a question mark whether he's a NHL player or not in the future, but likely not a game changer even if he is or a core piece to the lineup for a rebuilding team. JP doesn't hold much value as of now.

Exactly! Not to mention all the pieces we would be sending to EDM according to this proposal. Depending on how highly they think of Bourgault and Holloway, this just barely pays for dumping Campbell. Exo shared an interesting article earlier on how "actual cost" effects cap dump values.

I’d want to see a first for Toews retained and a 1st for the Campbell dump. Rework the rest of the trade from there.

Honestly it'd cost multiple firsts just to dump Campbell. This would be a very easy no for me.

Add 2023 3rd and 2025 2nd getting a 2023 1st and two young player that fit the time line if the Hawks rebuild hawks accept
