Clearly my mock trade would not be enough in reality and probably should have changed that 3rd for a first rounder and interchange Topi and Roni. I’m just shocked when I see 5 for 1 mock trades. Bo is great player but no way in hell am I giving up 5 pieces for a rental player.

Honestly it's a bit off, but gonna depend a lot on what everyone else is willing to offer. The Leafs are much more likely to upgrade to a 1st than upgrade to Niemela, but I have a hard time seeing the Leafs getting a trade done for Horvat without Niemela involved (Liljegren would as well but makes less sense for both teams since the Leafs are the one in win now mode).

Yeah its unlikely anyone gives up 5 for 1 for sure. Its not often you see that happen- With Bo, Canucks fans want a greater return than Eichel got and with others its dependent on if he resigns or if its a rental. The problem with the trade as it likely doesn't hit what the canucks have been reportedly wanting to do. Shed cap, collect picks and good prospects. So Kerfoot is likely considered nothing to the Canucks, Roni is nothing right now as well and the pick isn't that substantial either. You can see perhaps a younger player who can play NHL on an ELC or a prospect with perhaps some conditional picks (conditions of how many playoff rounds or if he resigns etc.).

Maybe Schenn, Horvat for Robertson, Topi, Kerfoot, 1st rd. I would include Kerfoot just to offset some of the salary. Maybe the 1st turns to a 3rd if Bo doesn’t resign.
