Horvat is a player any team would want but most can’t obtain because of cap and teams that can afford him still rebuilding and he’s a luxury they’ll wait for till they’re almost there. Otherwise he’d be gone in a flash as normally happens

Would love to have Horvat, Sakic tried to get him before Kadri, but they can’t keep him and they don’t have the resources to expend on a pure rental. Newhook is a cost controlled asset and I think the consensus is that Foudy another cost controlled asset is going to be in the COL bottom 6 next year. Imo the Rangers make the most sense.

I haven’t seen every Horvat trade response but I think most fans of other teams would love to have him, but not for the ridiculous price many canucks fans have proposed. Time will tell but consensus seems to be 1st + prospect + additional mid pick. Final 2 will depend on team trading for him, but as a Leafs fan (for the record I’d prefer ROR) I’d offer 1st + Minten or Hirvonen + 4th or 1st + Niemela.
Literally no chance I’d offer Sandin or Lilligren - just completely ridiculous to think any team would give up cost controlled top 4 D or top 6 forward for a rental. Canucks fans have to stay on planet earth

Every time is suggested Kerfoot/Engvall (Or another player for cap reasons) Minten and a 1st for Horvat I got my head bitten off because apparently Minten is too good
