Jeannot had a 19.4% shooting percentage. For comparison, Ovechkin has shot at 14.8% the past 5 seasons, Pastrnak at 14.5% and Connor at 15% (among top players). In other words, Jeannot was shooting at an unsustainable pace and he will most likely score less goals if he bounces back.
Hynes was also the coach last year and there was no problem then but now, it's all him, right? You can say this about a lot of players in this league in CBJ, OTT, ANA, SJS, etc. It is what it is.
Merkulov is about 0.80 pts/GP in his first pro season and has NHL potential. Nothing false in saying he's a B prospect. Lysell will be better in his second season or even first than Jeannot will ever be. They aren't adding him and Nashville can keep Jeannot. Anyways, they're trying to win, no? Don't see them trading him.
Your comments about Hynes comes from not being a Preds fan, fine. So I'll fill you in.
He's lost the room. its apparent his system that worked last year has collapsed, and as a result, he mix-matches the lines daily trying to find something that will work because his job is on the line.
Nashville is trying to win because Poile wants to keep his job. He only cares about selling seats, not building us a good team. Trading Jeannot would probably be the better option, but it wouldn't be to Boston. They don't have anyone in value Nashville wants.
And Merkulov is not a B tier prospect. sorry, hes just not that good lmfao. If he IS a B tier prospect, keep him. Your prospect pool is about as thin as a piece of fishing string. he's better for you than he is us.
