I don't hate any of the moves, but I have trouble seeing Arizona saying yes to that. Moverare and Andersson don't particularly move the needle for them, and a 1st+Turcotte probably isn't enough at this point in time, given Turcotte's still getting to a point where he's fully healthy.

Right now I don't think TO needs any RD. They have lots of them but our Left side seems to get injured every 3rd game.

Ya the only pieces from LA that are interesting are:

Spence, Hrenak, Walker/Peterson as cap offset, '23 1st & 2nd + Grans or next year's 1st

This year there are a grand total of 6 dmen who are 2001 born or younger in the nhl who have played 15 games.

Moritz seider
Owen power
Kaiden Ghule
Jake Sanderson
Braden schneider
Arber Xhekaj

He is in elite company right now and is vastly outplaying his draft class.

Oh and he may also be one of the 2 or 3 best fighters in the league on top of that.

Byfield is literally the only prospect that the habs wpuld cpnsoder trading for him nobody else is remotely interesting enough

Turcotte should still be interesting, despite injuries. But agree that the package needs to be larger. So let me get this straight, you are saying the package should be this:

Spence
Hrenak
Walker
Grans
2023 1st
2023 2nd

If I understand correctly, that's probably not likely. Despite having great RD depth, trading two out of that group hamstrings the Kings ability to call-up players in the event of injury, not to mention absolutely gutting the right side of the Ontario Reign. Clarke can't be in the AHL for call-ups, so if they decide to send him down to the OHL after the World Juniors there's even less option.

You'd have to replace one of Grans or Spence with a forward like Thomas or JAD. And if you wanted a higher player like Kupari or ****emo the picks would need to be changed. Maybe to a 2024 1st and the 2023 2nd. The Kings will be fighting in any trade proposal to keep the 2023 1st rounder.

The only elite in that company so far is Power. The rest are still on the potential train.

The Habs prospect/talent pool only needs a center and that's it?

Outside of Byfield or clarke theres no one in the la system that would entice montreal.

Xhekaj is a better asset right now than spence turcotte grans ****emo etc its not close. He is every GMs wet dream. 99th percentile size dman who skates well and can make plays at the nhl level. Oh and he can beat the tar off of anyone on the kings roster handedly.

The habs prospect pool wise had the highest number of expected NHLers. Any prospect trade they make will be a consolidation of 2+ assets to get 1 better one back. For Xhekaj that means Byfield or clarke.

That are interesting to AZU* ....D and G prospects, '23 picks... zero need for forwards, keep em all.

Sorry I shouldn't have lumped in Peterson as a direct replacement for Walker but AZU don't want Walker, LA is just cap strapped. We'd take Peterson for an extra 1st + Grans value ['24 1st] so it would be:

Spence
Hrenak
Walker <- worth maybe a '23 2nd to AZU
2023 1st, 2nd
'24 1st

Or

Spence
Hrenak
Walker
[Peterson]
'23 1st, 2nd [+ both 3rds]
'24 1st [+ 2nd]
or just '25 1st {in place of [x's]}

Prob with Peterson is '24-25 5M hurts... would cost '25 2nd to dump that last year.

But dude.... Imagine lessening your last chances with aging, expensive contracts for Ontario Reign RD depth who will prolly be a 4/6 RD at best. We'll throw in Mayo since he's 950k x 3, perfect 6/7th RD

Xhekaj would be really hard to move. You are much better off looking at Harris, who I believe has better Micro Stats if you care for such things.

Xhekaj is a fan favorite and performing really well. I don't think he's moveable except in a blockbuster.

He's about to be 22, leftie, turns the puck over and doesn't take it away, doesn't play a lot of mins. He hits and fights with the best of them [which I personally love]. He's average at possession and prolly won't be much better than above average on offense.

I think you're overrating him based on the physical aspects.

Sorry. I am not over-rating him. I think you are under-rating how hard it is for a GM to trade a fan favorite on an entry level deal.

Personally I think he is just a younger Edmundson, big strong ok defensively with little offensive upside. But he is still young and that can be worked on with time.

He is literally the 6th youngest dman in the nhl to play 15 games this year he is already on a prpjection of a top pairing dman

I would really hope that MTL isnt dumb enough to give him 8x8 and ruin their team like that lol but hey if Nurse could get 9.5 anything is possible
