To CHI, Dumoulin is a pure TDL cap dump. Zero value. Also, he probably has CHI on his no trade list. So, best CHI could probably do on him is retain some salary in a 3-way trade if you can find a team that is interested in him as a rental at a reduced cap hit.

McCabe is not even that good tho… I don’t think he’s worth it…

McCabe is injured rn tho so it’s a risk for Pittsburgh. Chicago can get decent return at TDL for a healthy McCabe tho

He’s significantly better than Dumoulin. I mean Chicago isn’t great but he was a massive get for them. Really solid top 4 shutdown guy

He is fine. He took a stick to the face and missed yesterdays practice for a maintenance day. But he was back on the ice today and is supposed to be in the lineup against CBJ in a couple hours. Not a risk.

Yeah better than dumoulin for sure… just didn’t know if it’s worth it when we have POJ blossoming and Smith waiting in the wings
