They can keep Colton Myers and Fluery for what they'll pay Crouse no thanks . Not a knock on Crouse. As you said Colton is a top 6 caliber foward . He hits a lot. 2nd in TB Behind Cernak in hits. Motor is always going. Has a shoot first mentality this team kinda needs. Don't see anyone giving a 2 for Namestnikov.

Jarmo just extended Peeke for 3 years, Pretty sure the offer needs to be far better than that.

Interesting.. Foote is young, has been in a winning culture and I’d argue just as good as peeke with a higher ceiling but just been buried

Then a top 9 forward who needs more nhl development because has done everything he can in the ahl

Right now Crouse is better but not enough better to make this worth a while trade.

I get what you’re saying now and I think crouse would be killorns replacement next year so it would satisfy a need this year and in the future and az would get a top 6 and some depth on d to work with

They don't have the cap to add a 4+ million dollar player next year which is why they let Palat walk this year and Killorn is gone next Colton probably get 2 or 3 years @2.5-2.7

I don’t think you’re looking at the cap space correctly for next year.. everyone walking is replaced with cheap players.. with this move your top 9 is set and tampa has 11 mil in cap space with seabrook on ltir.. because cap friendly doesn’t auto do that for future cap space

How does trading away 3 defenseman and adding one add blueline depth? Is Peeke more depth than Foote, Fluery, and Myers combined? Not following that logic.

Fleury and myers are not in tampas future plans and that is obvious by the scratches and being sent down and jbb has shown he’s not ok with just looking at this year

Peeke is cap certainty and foote is not.. also foote needs to be able to free flow and peeke is more of a stay at home.. which one sounds more like a fit with Hedman or sergy.. the reason Perbix has worked with sergy is because he understands he’s the supporting cast not the main Character in that pairing.. the reason why foote hasn’t is because he wants to jump in the rush and handle the puck more and that’s Hedman and sergy job

O and cole and cernak is the shut down pairing before you say they can play with foote to allow him flow more

Yeah but the cap and extensions changes things. With Cirelli, Cernak, and Sergechev's extensions happening Tampa cant afford anything but a rental for the TDL

As cap only goes up 1mill potentially and they gonna eat into it

So like we saw with Savard got a feeling its a rental for em and its gonna be Kuzmenko

Even going 86.5 mil cap and shifting Seabrook to LTIR and doing the trees you did that affect next year's cap . They have 14 players and 8.125 million in cap space truly an untenable situation

That's a steep price for Namestnikov, a player that has done very little this season and didn't do much for Dallas last season. Drop the pick down a couple of rounds and you may get some teams to bite, but he's not returning a 2nd.

Fair.. i think his skating and the craziness of the tdl maybe a 3rd because teams overpay at tdl all the time

Not necessarily Howard and a 2nd or Perebix and a 3rd and they probs hand him over

Perebix is probs their top target in a trade and honestly yes its risky but they still got Foote and Bogo

And JBB is a Moron if he trades Perbix for a winger TB doesn't need and won't be able to resign. Perbix is far more important to them than Kuzmenko. They started out slow didn't have Cirelli for the first 23games their Foward group is fine. Why would you weaken the weakest position on the team to strengthen it's strongest ? That's mind bogglingly foolish

No in this scenario they don't have both Foote and Bogosian. Foote ,Myers and Fluery are all traded and only Peeke is added. It's more than risky it completely foolish

Tampa goes 7 d all the time.. bogo is the extra.. I just don’t think I’m far off to what Tampa will look at.. at the tdl.. a permanent replacement for killorn.. think Havel for palat.. and a more stay at home d for the right side to play with Hedman

Guts the team next year. If it only goes up 1million not a snowballs chance in Phoenix in August they can do that trade without at least 1.5 in retention. No way AZ retains that much that long

That’s what people said when Tampa traded 2 1st, radysh and kuchouk for hagel.
