Of course they would, can’t see a team giving a first for Dvorak right now

He's been playing a lot better lately even though he's playing with guys like Dadonov and armia, he's worth a 1st to a team that play his style of hockey, he dosent for with the habs who play on the rush rather than position on the sycle

P.s i don't think toronto play for his strength either

Honestly, Hirvonen and Villeneuve would get it done.

whats more hilarious is that Dvorak is worth any more than that. But enough Kerfoot slander, I agree this is off but with retention he's probably worth that. 50 EVS points last year, heating up now, high end defense and PK, can play any position in the bottom 6, top 6 winger, can step in for an injury at 2C if really needed. Invaluable swiss army knife, Leafs will keep him as an own-rental anyways though.

Toronto is one of the best cycle teams in the NHL. It's part of the maintain possession all game philosophy they play.

He’s not been playing a lot better recently
He always played good, he’s just stuck with two washed wingers
He does all the dirty work
But still, can’t see a team trading a 1st for him right now

Yeah so funny, Connor Brown gets a 2nd but a guy thats marginally worse isn't worth 2 low 3rds lmao. I don't understand how a 30-40 point forward that can play all 3 positions and is an excellent penalty killer and is great defensively isn't worth 2 measly 3rds. But I guess thats what happens when you don't actually watch hockey and just base your opinion off what you see on twitter and facebook.

I'm not on either twitter or Facebook try again . The argument. XGM made a dumb decision so every other trade has to be based on it is even more ridiculous than the post

Ok houseplant . This is the typical prepubescent retort I'd be disappointed if my 10 year old niece had that childish a one.

his value is very underrated (not including the extremes of some Leafs fans of course, more speaking the average fan). Can play any position, any line (any line wing, has done fine filling in at 2C for injury, not ideal of course but never is when you need a filler, does what you ask of him for that), great defensively, great on PK, can fill in on PP. 50 even strength points last year and has 7 points in last 9 games, over career has generally been good for 35 - 45 points. 8 points in last 14 playoff games.

All I'll say is he'd be coveted on here if he wasn't a Leaf, which is precisely why the Leafs should do anything they can to avoid him being a cap casualty if there's a bigger move at play the TDL.

I think his value/rep on here gets tarnished because so many Leafs fans just ship him away for scraps on here (ofc some way overvalue him but often just what I see), when he's very valuable depth to any contending team, which is why Leafs should keep him.

I think my estimate is relatively close but I'll concede I might be a slight biased.

as might I. And I mean whether the trade market would dictate what I'm saying or not, I'm primarily talking value to the team (which should roughly equate to trade value, but who knows). Cap is difficult to swallow too but if you could find a 3rd party to retain for like a 5th (that TOR would have to pay), at the TDL I don't see why some team wouldn't go up to as much as a late 2nd as some players of his style/calibre have in the past.

then again, I too may also be biased, and his internal value could easily be below his trade value, if that makes sense.
