Pool won’t get you much of value let alone a solid prospect like that back.

There is a better chance JP is non QOd and becomes a ufa then being traded, if he goes get moved it’s not for notable recently drafted 1st round pick prospects

I feel hes traded at the TDL to make room for someone else

They take whatever they can but mainly do the trade for cap reasons

It sounds like there is no market for him bc he makes too much at3m aav. And oilers wont take back cap

They want a 2nd for him but no one is interested. Unless the oilers let him go in a trade for next to nothing I think he’s non QOd bound

TDL Holland will probs give in and trade him for a 5th then go get someone. Got a feeling hes off to Anaheim and they will probs send a low pick

He will probably be traded for a similar struggling young player so there’s a chance that the oilers can actually get some value out of trading jp.

its bc of his contract that he probably won't be traded, a team will take on the situation....you have a guy you have to QO at 3m to keep which Is too expensive. So either JP rejects his QO to sign for less, or the other team doesnt QO him and try to sign him for less

I dont see either of those things a happening IMO

I dont think any team wants to pay him 3m+ next year if they trade for him at this years deadline. Thats why I think he ends up going un traded and then become a UFA.
