I think that is a solid return for Ari, maybe they might ask for broberg instead of bourgault. They will need a LHD replacement and considering they already have schmaltz, Hayton, Cooley, geekie, mcbain and most likely one of bedard or fantilli they aren’t in a super big need for center depth

I would rather flip Barrie + for Murphy or Jensen. They aren't exactly great comparables but what Josh Manson did for the COL defense (albeit a deeper group) on their run to the cup was exactly what EDM needs imo.

Even if the league and PA finds a way of increasing the cap to $85M adding a $4M to $6M player seems very difficult

In actual fact if edmonton makes the 3rd round in playoffs again the salary cap goes up by 4 million.
