No one is saying that Chychrun cost that much. The ask is 2 1st and a high end prospect.

Better throw in a few more 1sts or Arizona's not going to even respond.

You gotta take one of those assets and replace with 2 smaller assets. 3 high end assets is a ridiculous ask

We will see who cracks, but it's probably going to be a top prospect + a 1st at the least and a 2nd or 3rd since there's going to be some sort of unwanted cap component involved.

Chychrun has 7 points in 8 games so far, and dmen across the league are going down like flies so those ufa dmen should be in high demand too.

Yeah well that's what Bill Armstrong wants, And he's already said that he doesn't have to move him if he doesn't get his ask.

I would agree that Holloway/Broberg+ the rest would be fair based on Chychrun's injury history, but Armstrong believes that any other GM in his position would be asking for the same. He's not wrong, Hagel got 2 1sts for his 1.5m x3 out of Tampa.

Yeah but imagine trading all that +++ and then Broberg ends up being a high end top 4D. Makes no sense, already lost the trade

That's kind of what should happen though, the bad thing/loss is if Chychrun is still only playing 60-70% of the games for Edmonton or isn't really a top 4 guy.

Arizona believes that Chychrun is top 2 material, so that's why they really want that 3 1st asks.

Determining Chychrun’s value isn’t Rocket science. He’s worth a lot. And here’s why:

If he was a free agent on the open market today, it’s very conceivable he get a contract with an AAV of $8m+ at the bare minimum. Likely a deal around $8.5m a year.

✅He makes $4.6m nearly half of that.
✅He’s got a total of just under 3 years term remaining
✅Has the ability to score at an alarming rate
✅Good Size & Physical
✅He’s 24 years old and entering his prime

That is worth an organizations Top Prospect, a 1st round pick & a 2nd round pick. Probably more. If you don’t think so then he’s just not for you.

They were discussing Chychrun being traded on NHL Now or HNIC a couple of weeks ago they said Arizona is still looking for the equivalent of 3 1st rd picks.

According the Avg AGM from Toronto or Edm he can be had for a cap dump an overage prospect and a 3rd
