I am. I'm no scout but he looks like a sure fire top 6 goal scoring winger to me. I even think he has the shooting ability to play on his off side if Richardson wants guys like that. Not sure about his defensive ability but his shot and skating are really good. NHL body already too

Really? I mean, I liked him a lot in the WJC-20, but I don't see him being THAT good at the pro level. I definitely see him having a successful career as a bottom 6 floater/role player, though. Which I guess is still pretty valuable in the bigger picture. Who knows... Maybe I need to watch him play more.

Very small sample size for sure. 4 OHL games in Flint when he was with Windsor, and some other video. Like I said, I'm no scout but he impressed me with his offensive play.

Just looked it up and Hartford actually plays Rockford tomorrow. Only drawback is it is at the same time as the Hawks game. But, I don't really NEED to watch the Hawks. I already know what they are. haha

So, this is only a single game sample size, but Cuylle looked fine. Nothing special though. There is still some upside to his game with a learning curve, this is his first pro season after all. But, at the pro level, he looks more like a decent bottom 6 with potential to float up and down the lineup.

I often caught him floating around the blue line during defensive situations as if he is waiting for pucks to come to him instead of actually playing defense. Which, if he wants to carve out an NHL role, no matter where in the lineup that ends up being, he needs to up his defensive game. But most guys that make it to pro's were the best players on their team when they were younger playing in highly offensive scoring roles. So a lot of times this is exactly what happens, and they need to go back to basics on their defensive game and learn to be a pro to really take the next step. It's definitely not a bad thing that his vision seems to take him ahead of the play a bit sometimes. That could mean his vision and hockey IQ are ahead of the slower pace and "sloppiness" of the AHL. Or it could mean he needs to slow his role and learn to play defense.
