Think it's a poor trade for both teams. But Dubois isn't a rental. He's under Jets control for this year and next

Can think of him as a 2 year rental since he pretty much came out and said he was testing free agency as soon as he can. even if it was just a ploy to force a trade out of WPG, other GMs won't view it that way when trading for him.

I'm sure Grubauer would also have no interest as well, but can you imagine WPG paying 12m on goaltending just to have a 5.9m backup? If they end up extending Hellebuyck, perhaps that gets up to 16m.

Everyone knows he's going to MTL in 2024. So yeah, he's a 2 years rental.
