Edmunson is not remotely as good as what Muzzin brought when healthy. Who we should target, I am not quite sure yet but Edmunson isn't it.

If you could get Anderson at 3 or less, I think he could have some value. At his full cap, he's not at all worthwhile.

Gritty wings are a double edged sword and as we saw 1 week Anderson gets suspended the other he works. We had gritty wings in the past and while some worked others were traded away.

Edmunson brings that grit and physicality Muzzin brought when he came here. While hes not as good as prime Muzzin was he is comparable to how Muzzin was at the later stages of his career which can smoothing a transition for our Dcore. As he can just slot in and be Muzzin JR.

I just don't see him being capable of holding the puck enough to keep up in our system.

Thats why you pair him with a puck mover (Brodie or Liligren)

Well Muzzin was very adept at moving the puck when he first came here. Wasn't fast but was so smart, I just don't see Edmunson having those traits. He's just big and hits. I think Benn is a poor mans Edmunson but definitely isn't who I would want to see as the answer. However I think we can do better than Edmunson

What that was, was sadly the end of prime Muzzin. Wish we could have got another 2 years of that oh well. If Edmunson can do what Muzzin was doing (besides the turnovers) then we got basically a nice fill in replacement. And at 3.5mill for 1.5 years why not as there arent many big physical LD in the NHL available at a nice cap hit or capable of playing 20mins
