    Montreal doesn't entertain this.

1 - they don't want to face Wifi for the next decade
2 - Montreal is stacked with prospects up front, and Robertson might not even be at the top of that list to make the team

Xhekaj (Wifi) is a rare breed of a defensemen, Habs aren't giving him up for cheap

What has Robertson done in the NHL? He is a reclamation project of a prospect while Xhekaj is already established. Teams will be calling for Wifi, no one is calling for Robertson

Against the Flyers backup, real test is against the Bruins and Canes. I would have been worried if they couldn't score on a goalie that has 0 wins this season and is now 0-3

robertson has 4 points in 6 games this year at 21 and playing limited minutes. not sure if you aware but thats a 50+ point pace at 21 when hes in his prime hell be a 60+ point producer. meanwhile xhekaj will be scratched or sent down to the ahl when the habs blueline is healthy your also probably not aware hes a LHD leafs dont need one of them they need a RHD

BAHAHAHA 60 points for Robertson? What has he done in the NHL to prove that he will get 60 points? His AHL numbers? No one in the AHL throws their weight around so pond hockey is allowed (same goes with the other leagues). If Robertson even dares to deke around a player, the next time he is on the ice, he will be taught a lesson. This is how the NHL works

In terms of Xhekaj, the guy is like 22 and plays like he is a veteran in the NHL, teams take notes when he is on the ice

not sure if you read my comment or not robertson has 4 points in 6 nhl games that a 50+ pace all with limited ice time and very limited pp time. hes also great defensively and hits more then marner, nylander and tavares combined. leafs dont need xhekaj for toughness leafs have douglas who IMO would beat xhekaj in a fight. left side is clogged up and xhekaj doesnt play right side so trade makes absolutely no sense.

As a Habs fan I agree with your colleagues here, one player isnt going to toughen up the lineup and this is an overpayment. However I also agree with you that it will take an overpayment to have a shot at getting Xhekaj, I still think the Habs pass as we need him to protect Zuke and Caufield among others. Other teams have taken note of what Xhekaj did to Kassian and they aren't going to take liberties on our players as long as he is on our team. Gretzky had McSorley, we have Xhekaj, the Leafs are going to have to find their own guy.

his opinion is very dumb and i expect nothing less of a career plug

game is pretty much decided and konency is having a meltdown. matthews could absolutely floor this pipsqueak, but the dude has had wrist injuries in the past and better to save it to, you know, score goals or something useful instead of beating the breaks off konency.

all the constant talk about how you need to protect your stars - are we actually upset that bunting and gio jumped in to handle the situation? it was literally rupps job to do this; if elias or someone was getting into **** with other players he would've done the same. guess that doesn't matter now.

He's an OK middle 6 winger, that can only play C a little. He's fast. He plays PK, 2nd unit PP.
He is not tough. And he makes $3.5 million. Doesn't drive a line. The expectations for production VS role VS value in TOR are just unrealistic.

In general to this post-- getting pushed around in a 5-2 win isn't that uncommon. TOR had the puck all night & Philly didn't have anything else going, so they tried to get under TOR's skin.
Does TOR need to get tougher, sure. But it's as much about mentality and play style as it is about personnel.
