I mean I guess the Caps would want to win another cup with Ovi which I totally get and respect. But, is it practical to make that kind of move with those kind of injuries and deplete your depth/picks more? Especially in some good draft years? Also, why is Eller not playing here? Has he fallen off that badly? Seems like a good middle 6 guy.

mcmike has played 8mins this year id give him a couple games atleast and if he doesnt perform then eller can have his spot back

If you want the young guys to get ice time, why are you trading away picks and young guys like Snively for Meier? I can't argue too much about Eller but that doesn't seem to be a narrative around him I've seen much.
