Not a Ducks fan but he needs to be fired.

The team looks fractured and uninterested on the ice. Whether Dallas is a good or a bad coach is irrelevant, he isn't getting through to the guys and getting them to mesh.

Now, it's been 8 games, and we have a lot of new faces on the roster, so we knew we were going to start poorly, but we need to right the ship in the next month or Dallas needs to be shipped back to San Diego.

At least we have the Bedard McTavish reunion to look forward too.

He should have never been retained. Lot of ducks fans have sung Verbeek’s praises but I’m still very skeptical.

This is a team that added two significant free agents to the top 6 forwards (Strome and Vatrano), bolstered the defense with two more veteran acquisitions (Klingberg and Kulikov), has youngsters who should be developing into quality NHLers (Lundestrom and McTavish), and has two forwards recovering from injury who are expected to play prominent roles (Comtois and Jones). As such, one can expect some problems in integrating all of the different pieces into the mix. But this team plays most games like everybody just got introduced to each other 30 minutes before the skate-around. We haven't been competitive in at least half of our games. And the power play and penalty killing don’t look all that good, either. This is a matter of coaching.

If the Ducks don’t win 5 of their next ten games, Eakins should go – unless the contemplated replacement is Barry Trotz.

I can see why Dallas wasn't sent packing. He's been a loyal soldier to the Anaheim organization down in San Diego, you don't necessarily want to change everything all at once, and with his contract expiring this year it's sort of a self solving issue. I don't think anyone is under the dilution that he is the coach next season, but if you're Verbeek, you've got someone that you can toss onto the sword for why the team is bad, and get a Bedard or Fantilli in the process.

I'm starting to understand Leafs fans pain. I can see the talent on the roster, it pops up in flashes here and there, they just can't put together a full 60 minutes.

They renewed his contract. There was the option to walk away from him with some solid choices on the market to bring in.

And the problem with them being this bad this season, it’s possible Zegras and Terry see the lack of progress and it’s reflected in contracts.
