As a 3rd party, I agree with most of the contracts you have here and also appreciate the work you did here for this one getting all the numbers as I’ve done it for fun and does take a little bit to finish! Kudos to you on that

I do think Brannstrom gets more like a 3x3.5 as I think the is probably what Jamie Drysdale gets this summer from the Ducks

He SHOULD be playing way more. He's looked great, and DJ has had nothing but good things to say.

They need to find a way to get him PP reps. Tough with Sanderson and Chabot ahead of him, and all the forward talent needing minutes.

Kaprizov and Rantanen are in another tier, elite of the elite

M.Tkachuk is also more valuable than DeBrincat
Barzal a bit more similar but he's a center
Laine might be a better comparison

Sanheim, Brodin are in another tier above Zub
Nate Schmidt got overpaid and that's why he always just get a 3rd in trades.

Better comparisons IMO

DeBrincat : Filip Forsberg (not many good comparables)

Zub : Oleksiak, Manson, Tanev, Murphy, Dumoulin, Carlo

Kaprizov is a 40 goal scorer and Rantanen was just over a point per game before he became what he is. M. Tkachuk is a better player but a 40 goal Scorer so that's the comparable they are all around 11 percent which I gave him and M. Tkachuk is the outlier at 11.52 percent If it was like laine it would be just over 9 million. Forsberg is 28 vs Kaprizov laine and Rantanen who are under 25 at signing. Oleksiak is over paid. Manson Tanev Murphy signed at 29 or 30 into away from their prime. Dumoulin wasn't the player he is now or carlo as they were younger. Sanhiem and Brodin are better but Zub can reach their level of play and is closer to them than oleksiak. I gave Zub the marc methot contract as the lowest comp but if zub continues to play we we can end up with a contract in the 6+ Range. Methot's contract was 7.1% and in this cap of 82.5 that is about 5 ⅞ per year.

Kaprizov is 5th, Rantanen is 7th, Matthew Tkachuk is 12th and DeBrincat is 23rd

I really hope ABD comes under their cap hits because he's clearly not as good as them

Based on many D (recent) contracts, I'd be shocked if Zub gets a cent over 5.0 per year. He just doesn't have the offensive numbers to ask for more. Playing on a high octane offensive team will help him but still.

It's ok if you have a different opinion, my evaluation is that DeBrincat is worth 7 years x 8.5 AAV and Zub 5 years x 4.5 AAV
