I’d rather try Korczak/Rydahl or even Laffy at C for the 4-5 games without Chytil. Let Domi do top line mins(conditioning) in CHI and he will cost a 2nd come the TDL. Don’t think they need to panic

Krav not comfortable playing wing in NHL yet- so at the moment wouldn’t give him a tougher assignment to adjust to.

For now, Goodrow is really the only option for a temp basis…if it goes beyond that they will have to try to make a move. Not sure what their options are- being cap strapped yet having over 5M tied up in Goodrow and Reaves.

What about a Trivigno callup? O drop-off is the most talked about concern and he was signed for this type of situation. He has no waiver consequences; bring him in and see if he responds.

If they call anyone up they lose the cap accrual they were trying to achieve when Hunt was cut. If Chytl goes on LTIR, different story. The reason their options are so few is poor Cap management- not only the 5M + committed to Reaves and Goodrow….don’t forget the 880K they are paying ADA this year.

Yes, but since Trivigno is waiver-exempt it could be limited to reducing 1 day's worth of accrual. LTIR can get complicated with setting an Accruable Cap Space Limit (ACSL), and we could end up not accruing any cap space with it in place. Besides, a temporary reduction in cap accrual shouldn't take precedence over figuring out what we have, maybe someone else gets sent down.

All good points….just trying to point out how NYR are licking self inflicted wounds. But yes- Rydahl or Triv should be brought up (at a minimum) for game days in case a player has a last min injury or illness.
