fleury isnt great , this would be a gross overpay, and even if he was good, hes old af. no way the leafs even consider this. we dont need to pay to dump murray, hes only a 600k buyout penalty next year.

copium, he looks horrible and hes 37 years old. pass
He only *looked* horrible the first two games he played. Where he was atrocious.
He was decent to good against Vancouver and outstanding against Boston last time out. He's gotten progressively better over the last couple of games to where only one of the goals against by Boston was one he should've stopped and what you could consider *bad*. Even then it come from 75+ feet out, so wasn't likely expecting it.
Furthermore, the numbers in his stats are deceiving because of how atrocious the Wild's defense has been so far this year, as the vast bulk of goals against this year can directly be attributable to some f**kup by the defense being either out of position or just letting the opponent walk them and given all the time in the world to unleash on Fleury. Case and point, Patrnak's goal on on Saturday, it looks bad on Fleury but Pastrnak should never have been left alone to begin with. That's a defensive issue, not a Fleury issue.
Don't outrighly dismiss him because of the slow start.
Is he old? Yes. Does he need to be in a tandem at his age in order to keep the wear and tear down and to keep him fresh? Yes.
And while I agree that the Leafs don't do this trade as presented. Him being old has no bearing on whether the Leafs would be willing to trade for him if he continues his upward trend and plays well for the rest of the year.
They were reported to be heavily interested in him over the offseason and I see no reason why they wouldn't continue to be if his game continues to picks up.
