Hahaha, I actually posted "Some days I wonder if it's even an attempt at trolling though..." in another thread by him. It's really hard to say. A couple of summers ago he genuinely believed that Kravtsov was going to be the best winger in the NHL immediately, win the calder, etc., only for him to not even make the team. I remember threads where 99% of the players on the Rangers were deemed "Untouchable", because every one of them was going to be the GOAT. It's pretty hilarious, tbh.
