Imagine. One year reset and it lands Bedard. Hell that’d be a huge shot in the arm and boost to the team. Or even Fantilli. Can’t go wrong. Imo it’d be a mistake if Michkov was the pick cause he won’t be over for a few years and an NHL ready player with high upside on an ELC would be huge for Tampa.

Agreed.. as a tampa fan, it is very apparent that this team is exhausted and just don't have the depth, not to mention getting every teams best when they play. As a fan for decades this fanbase has been very spoiled lately and one bad year to reset and maybe by chance get a lottery pick isn't the end of the world.

If anything now if the time to go all in before all those extensions kick in and they lose more depth (Cirelli, Cernak, Sergachev). Its only been 4 games, they will be fine. I cant see a team like that missing the playoffs unless they get absolutely decimated by injuries

As a kid growing up I started to follow them after the cup win. A year to reset isn’t awful, let’s guys heal up. Stammer and Heddy are still great and not that old. Injecting some more youth into the lineup is a necessary process. Given the latest news from Bettman about the cap jumping I’m cautiously optimistic that things can get better and there’ll be more wiggle room to improve the depth of the team.

They absolutely need some youth.. like a kid who would wear a white suit to the draft. I'm not sold on this d for the future

Dallas declines. With this class being as deep as it is & the Stars likely not having a 2023 1st Round Pick, I can't see them moving their 2023 2nd

Also, word of advice when trying to get a team interested in trading for a player, don't put "HE HAS BEEN AWFUL" in the trade description. Typically not a strong selling point. Lol

I’m praying Foote can take a massive step forward this year. We also need to start thinking about another top 4 LD for once Heddy starts to slow down. Having extra guys developing and waiting in the wings will only help. Good thing down the middle is both Point and Cirelli are still pretty young so that’s the center position for at least another 6-7 years. Problem I see is higher end talent on the wings. Can Colton and Hagel be that for us? Problem with them is they’re going to be expensive to keep long term. I’m hoping Howard will be that, but he still could be another 1-2 years away. Not sure how else we can get that NHL ready talent to contribute immediately without getting lucky in the draft.

This is exactly what I was thinking when I saw them at the bottom of the Atlantic division last night. It's still early though, but yeah if they can land one of those guys, they would get the rest that they probably need and would have overwhelming superstar power. Problem is they don't have their own 1st.

The pick is top 10 protected. They’re good no matter what happens.

I am not on the colton wagon like everyone else. one goal doesn't define a career. he's extremely lazy and always out of position coming back.. please move him for anything.
