Description
If Holl is traded when lily returns we would have enough cap space for a healthy scratch relatively quickly. I'm not where daily cap space is listed otherwise one could figure that out relatively easily. I'd like to see Robertson get his shot

To clarify for above trade (can't edit already made trades), I am more just not considering the cost/return, as its a different conversation. I am just working under the assumption that it doesn't cost, nor bring back a current active NHL player. So whether picks/prospects go either way, it doesn't effect either the team on the ice this year, nor the cap)

I hope this doesn't come off as a "EvErYoNe HaTeS tHe LeAfS" thing, because it isn't, but I mean, I feel like if it was as simple as disappearing Holl's contract, it would have happened already. Not saying the guy is bad, but I just can't imagine someone coming along and helping the cap situation. He's actually reasonably productive, it's just that (at this point) it doesn't seem like there's many teams willing to do favors.

I'm not sure Holl will be traded. Dubas and Keefe seem to value him more than most Leaf fans do.

Except the Leafs have NO NHL competent Dmen with the Marlies. Leafs have made so many bad cap decisions on this team, I don't know why folks think by jettisoning Holl, the Leafs cap problems and Ice problems are solved.
Want Robertson in the lineup?.....Move Aston Reece, Malgin or Aube-Kuble to the Marlies...no cap implications.

I wasn't suggesting that he be "disappeared". More that the cost to "disappear" him, would be in non active NHLer assets, if needed. ie won't effect the team that is put on the ice this year.

Mete and Benn are competent NHL defenseman. There is no good answer here. But I like what Malgin offers. Personally I think Aube-Kubel was redundant, but I doubt they are looking to waive him unless he plays bad, simply given when he was signed and for how much.

ZAR I think actually provides pretty good value, as a good defensive forward at under 1 mil who is also physical, something that we need.

The only move that helps the leafs have a 22 man roster is to move Kerfoot
