Still no goaltending and no top pairing dman. Bedard would cover for a few holes in the team with his offense but it would still be a lottery team for a couple years. Guhle and Hutson will be good LHD but a top 4 or god willing a star RHD is the only way this team becomes a contender, even with a top 5 player in the league at center

No from LA. The Kings aren't trading Durzi for a package. They're going to package up Durzi with other futures for an immediate LHD upgrade.

I totaly agree!

I meant that they can get out of the bottom of the league and start looking up.

I saw him more as a parter for clarke.

You might be better off trading some of that offensive depth to get a high level ld.

What if we retain on eddy would that make it better?

The Kings already have a partner for Clarke in Edler. He was one of the best defenseman on the Kings last season before he was injured.

Edmundson wouldn't crack the top six on the Kings. They need a guy who can play in the top four on the left side.

Do you think edler will still be a top 4 d in 2023? cause that's when the trade is being done.

Edler isn't a top 4 defenseman on the Kings. He's the 3LD.

Currently the Kings are trying out both Durzi and Walker at 2LD. If they're going to move Durzi, it's going to bring in someone who will fill that role better. Edmundson doesn't do that.

Wouldn't be surprised if Mailloux is ready for next year also. He is a very high end prospect. Would really help that right side.

On what basis are you basing that analysis? He hasn't played alot since he was convicted of a sex crime. Plus mtl will want to keep him out of the team for as long as they can, to try to help the narrative of his "growth" as a human. I feel like he's gonna be the least rushed prospect in our pool and won't be in the team for at least 2 to 3 years.

A year from now, Sean Durzi will probably have cemented his position as a top-4 defenseman and Edmundson will be a 30-year-old rental. A prospect and a future second won't make up that discrepancy.
