Montreal has a lot of bottom of the roster players already. I wouldn't be taking on long term contracts (Faksa, Scandella) unless they were top end players. If those guys were pending UFA's then sure but not long term contracts, they will need that cap space flexibility moving forward.

scandella only has one year left after this season and faksa can be buried for only 2m so they won't take someone else's money

a healty drouin is way better than walker or logan brown. and i included schueneman who's a guy that can do what scandella is doing but for way less

i understand but drouin can fill in on the pp and on your top 6. it's very valuable when you are in the playoff. that's with not counting the offensive dimention he brings to your very offensively inept third line

that's where i don't agree. buffalo, new jersey are way ahead of us. filly and san jose are closer but still better inmy opinion.

Brother our third line is Neighbors Schenn Saad that is a very good offensive 3rd line, He literally doesnt fit in our team nor is he worth a first. I could see blues using a 3rd for him if an injury happens sure but even with 50% rentention hes not worth a first rn. Obviusly depends on how he plays tho
