The Maple Leafs dream collection of star players like Matthews, Marner, Tavares, Nylander and Rielly are highly motivated and look ready to lead and win a Stanley Cup during the 2022-2023 NHL season as they are all now entering their prime playing years.

The Maple Leafs powerhouse opening night roster has been assembled and now includes two potent offensive lines, a great shut down third line, new incredible energy fourth line, 3 solid defence pairs and two former first string money goalies. This is the Leafs year......and I have been following them very closely and thay have been steadily taking baby steps to get it done in the playoffs.

Losing to Montreal in 7 games was the result of losing Tavares and Muzzen in the series and not having a shut down 3rd line and great energy 4th line and running into a hot Carey Price.

Losing to Tampa in 7 games was the result of weaker goaltending by Campbell, a couple of bad breaks and terrible refereeing in game 6..

The Leafs actually outplayed both Montreal and Tampa in both 7 games series......and now Matthews, Marner, Nylander and Rielly are highly motivated to end the playoff series drought......Going to be a great year to be a Leafs fan........and sure you will want to join the party as well and become a Leafs believer in the team.

You said it yourself. The Leafs did outplay both Montreal and Tampa in those series, yet they still LOST. Toronto choked games 5-7 and couldn’t close out Montreal, even though they went to overtime, what, twice in that span if I remember correctly. And Tampa was playing like crap, specifically Vasilevskiy, and the Leafs still couldn’t win. They are by no means a threat in the playoffs

He is coaching two former starting money goalies who have won a lot of games in the National Hockey League and are both highly motivated to perform great..........so should not be too hard of job for the new goalie coach........Leafs goaltenders are going to prove you wrong.

In reality, Campbell had one of the worst high danger shot goals against in the entire NHL.......and yet Leafs still finished 4th overall in the entire NHL with mediocre goaltending........This is going to be a great year for the Leafs.

Simmer down and don't take it personally. Murray is motivated, but he was also motivated when he arrived in Ottawa. While he had a great six game stretch last year, he has been inconsistent. If he turns it around then great, if he doesn't then nobody will be shocked.

That’s all well & good,
but you’re essentially PREDICTING they become a powerhouse
Bc as of yet, they’ve been nothing but a playoff disappointment

How is losing in the first round worst than a team that hasn't made the playoffs for 11 years running.......do not see your logic?

That’s literally the opposite of what I said…

My brother in Christ, I said “ but losing in the 1st round > Not making the playoffs for 11 years running”

“>” means “greater than”. So, if you read what I said, it’s “ “ but losing in the 1st round is greater than Not making the playoffs for 11 years running”

Dear lord man…I said the complete opposite of that, and then explained that it was the complete opposite.

Reading comprehension my dude…it’s extremely important.
