Depends on what contracts those 3 players get of course. I could see it anywhere from 15 million to 22 million between them.

26.5m in cap space yes, but that only accounts for 12/23 roster spots.
Even if the Avs roll with a 21 or 22 man roster, that cap is gonna disappear fast.
Depending on how next offseason unfolds, trading Girard might be the only way to make the cap work.

They usually run 21, they’ve know the roster is going to get too heavy just like TBL. The bottom 6 is all going to be $1M and elc it’s not the end of the world and guys will take discounts to play for a championship team. Guys like Olausson and Foudy will be ready in a year or 2, guys like Meyers, Maltsev and Kaut are going to be fighting for spots now, throw in guys like Ranta and Bowers and there is no shortages of available guys. Throw in guys like MacDonald and MacDermid that could fill 2 roles (6/7 d and 12/13 forward) and you have more flexibility. Everybody wants to scream cap crunch because MacKinnon wants to be the highest paid player (totally made up by Dater btw) it’s not the case. The COL management team is one of the most patient in the league and the knee jerk reactions that COL has to move somebody like Girard just isn’t true.
