I can't see Foegele requiring a 2nd to move in general, but especially not when the cap space gained from the move is 1.25mil for the year that it matters the most. Retain 50% on Grant and it at least becomes more plausible.

Sanheim is worth more than that. Hes a UFA, but a pretty easy re-sign for minimal increase.

Philly declines, your going to be giving up a 1st round pick for him minimum, but in all honestly you will need to give up 2 1st round picks or a 1st round pick and a couple of 2nd round picks

Yeah, this was my concern/question, he is already on a decently large contract, if he wants any sort of raise that has the potential to become an issue for us due to all the contracts we have to sign next year with Zegras, Terry, Comtois, Drysdale, whoever we pick up to fill the two holes at right defense, our backup Goalie, etc.

Granted, half the league are UFAs next season, so that probably drives prices down.

I Wouldn’t take the Foegele deal but, since Edmonton is giving Anaheim a 2nd to take Foegele it’s fine.
