No worries and I don't take things personally and in this case, I don't have a rooting interest in either of these teams, just moreso as a fan of hockey.

But for ****s and giggles (and totally hypothetical)...maybe Lou has offered Raty and a 1st but the Yotes are holding out for more which is why the deal hasn't gotten done yet. We will never know since Lou is tight lipped but something has to be in the works between Kadri, Dobson, Romanov, etc.

If Lou was in on Tkachuk I expect him to pivot to Meier. He couldn’t outbid florida to get Tkachuk.

When they are more serious about moving him I think they get like two thirds of their current ask: A top prospect+ a 1st or a good prospect+ a 1st and 3rd.

Yeah that’s probably right maybe a tad more like a top pospect, first, and third or first, good prospect, and decent young player. Adding Bailey complicates the deal cause he probably has a negative value at this point. If you’re not including a 2023 first or raty then there really isn’t a good centerpiece in the trade for Arizona to bite.

It’s so hard to tell. For every kid who is just dominating less developed players there is an Anders Lee or even Mark Stone. I’m not even saying that’s what Dufour is. Just saying there r lots of bigger forwards who r late bloomers.
Also Dufour can PK and play center at the junior level which makes me feel a little better about his all around game.

Yea Buffalo has a similar prospect in Olivier Nadeau. Plays a very well rounded game, and had a pretty good D+1 season. Whether that becomes anything or not is just a huge question mark with how his goal scoring spiked this past season.

Idk as much about Nadeau or how old he is. I can follow Dufour cause he made it to camp for team Canada and he played in the memorial cup.

Nadeau did have forty less points in the Q… that’s not an insignificant difference

Well their first ask or one of them was a something like a 1st, top prospects, and a young former first rounder. So if they get that then it would be matching their ask. Some execs thought it was fair while others thought it was laughable, I'm guessing the interested teams/GMs of playoff teams are in the second category since there has been no trade yet after talks have "heated up" last TDL.

For Arizona to take Bailey without sending back a similar player in terms of performance and cap probably will cost.

Talk about cherry picking stats lmao. Brock Nelson has scored 205 goals in 676 regular season games, which works out to a 0.303 G/GP pace, or 24.8 goals over an 82 game season. Kadri on the other hand has 219 goals in 739 games, which is 0.296 G/GP, or 24.3 goals per 82 games.

I've got no horse in this fight, but to frame Nelson as this money in the bank 25 goal stud and Kadri as the guy who has only hit 20 goals 4 times when they've scored at essentially the exact same pace over their respective careers is a pretty weak argument.

Thats fair but i think the comment was more about nelsons consistency than about total production. Nelson has consistently put up 25 goals while kadri has been very hit or miss. 1 year he will put up a 15 goal pace and the next he will score 100 points. Not to mention nelson doing it on the isles while kadri was with TOR/COL. As a fan of the islanders who really struggle to score id much rather nelson who i know will give me ~25 goals a season than kadri who might pot 40 and might pot 10.
