I think it’s a year too early to be trading Vrana. He in all likelihood could be a 40+ goal scorer this season and he will be at max value and the return could be great.

Holtz is an ideal type of player to get back for a guy like Vrana however, at this point I don’t think NJD does it, and waiting a year could net us a Holtz type player/prospect AND a 1st round pick or more.

That's the only season he had that kind of pace take his best and "more than likely" like he's Ovechkin or Stamkos or Mathews

There was like 30 players in the NHL that had 37 goals or more last season. Since he’s been with the redwings he’s scored at that pace. He missed a lot of time last year, in 37 games since the trade, he’s scored 21 goals. That’s a 47 goal pace per 82 games.

He’ll easily hit 35 goals this year minimum.

The Chytil trade isn’t egregious but i dont understand the incentive for the rangers, Chytil is 3 years younger, an rfa next year (suter is a ufa), cheaper (suter puts them slightly over the cap), and they both scored at about a 0.5 ppg pace

So he doesn't have any runs where goalies just keep making really good saves or he hits some posts or misses 20 games again availability is often the most important ability. He's proven he can maintain that pace over 82 it's a lot less difficult to score at that clip in short sample sizes.

Suter is a defensive/ 200 ft player. I forgot to put he signs a reasonable extension. The rangers still have some moves to make this summer and this armchair gm doesn't allow me to make adjustments to the rangers roster.

I dont think the rangers make any more moves with all their rfas signed now unless they trade gauthier but he can already be sent to the ahl so that wouldnt effect the cap and looking at suters defensive advanced analytics they arent anything special and although i think the rangers would consider its ultimately just not worth it especially because of how good Chytil looked in the playoffs

I want to trade Chytil, but not for another similar contract and contract length. That make no sense. I would take a roster player with ECL contract 2 years
