Lol Florida isn’t that stupid, also they didn’t really get fleeced, sure they gave up 2 stars but they we’re on the last year. Plus they got a younger player out of it. I’d say they sort got fleeced. They did give up a really good prospect tho and first round. Which was dumb. Panthers defence is worse so I’d think they’d obviously keep ekblad

Lol Edmonton traded Caleb Jones and a 3rd for Keith.. they gave away Marino for a 7th.. they let Minnesota take Wallstedt, a position they are still looking for answers in for an extra 3rd rounder.. and you’re talking about other teams getting fleeced by Edmonton lmao 😂

You're right, it's a complicated trade. Looks like Panthers got worse this season due to Weager leaving. But they got cost certainty for the future and a long term signing of Tkachuk.
Thought the Flames did well. Actually better with Huberneau and Weager this season for the same cap as Tkachuk. And next season even if those two players leave...well that's 9.2m in cap space plus the first rounder later.
