Kane will sign here next summer. Adams won’t trade assets away for a guy we can sign as a UFA as Kane is after season. Adams played with Kane in Chi and as both being from Buffalo have great respect for one another as I have heard Adams took Kane under his wing early on in Chi

I agree. Sabres go backwards or finish same as last year no chance he comes here. One game at a time. We need to be relevant come Feb/March

And we’ll likely have to overpay him as well
The length of the contract is likely to be longer than we should want as well

Hopefully he signs with a legit contender
Kane would be a feel good story for us, but not necessarily all that good of a move (considering his age/contract he’d demand)

I don’t think we would have to overpay him. He would want to win one here. The 1st in Sabres history with him here what a story. So he knows what it takes. I don’t think we overpay. Adams and Kane played together in Chi Kanes 1st and Adams last. Lot of respect between the guys there. Both from Buffalo. Both have Cups
