That Barrie trade is god awful. Vancouver fans will give you proper **** for the Miller deal. Bailey should be worth a third but considering Pacioretty was a cap dump this year I doubt u get that.

Is that supposed to be a retaliatory trade against Vancouver?

Think you need a refresher on what the isles traded to get a 24 year old Nick Leddy, and a great 30 year old Boychuk.

Don’t see why the Isles would want Barrie. And the Canucks aren’t trading Miller for a winger who wouldn’t make the team and two 2nds. It’ll take quality to get Miller, not scraps

Do you actually think that’s a fair deal for Miller?

Probably not. Maybe fourth line. We are absolutely stacked at wing, he provides little to no value to our forward core

He’d be a 4th liner at best. Boeser, Garland, Podkolzin, Kuzmenko, Mikheyev, Hoglander, and Pearson would all be ahead of him

Hah. No. I’m only joking. I think no team wants to give up a first for JT at this point. You would get one at the deadline, but do you want to really do that? What if you’re making a good run for the playoffs? Seems very counter productive.

If JT Miller has an extension, he stays, if he doesn’t, he’s gone. Management isn’t going to take any risks. We aren’t a cup contender anyway

Then JT will still get traded at the deadline if that's when the team can net the best return, should he not be able to be extended. Canucks don't actually need JT to make the playoffs

There’s no extension coming. VAN is playing awful poker. That’s why the two seconds.

This is a bad take. Trading him while in the fight for a playoff spot seems like a silly way to go about it.

Kind of short-sighted of you to jump to that conclusion when it's only late July. Off-season still has over a month to go, plenty of time to try and get on the same page contractually, especially when the Kadri shoe still has yet to drop, and would go a long way to dictate Miller's market

Two seconds is a horrendous deal for a 99 point player though. Connor Brown fetched a second round pick. Miller is much much better than him

I just said, the Canucks don't need Miller to make the playoffs. The team knows they aren't contenders yet, it's no skin off their nose to move Miller in that context

Actually it’s not because we are not going to win the cup and our management team knows it
