Ottawa drafting Boucher imo was in hopes he could emulate the style of player wood is somewhat capable off. He slots in the bottom six at left wing and then Severson would be a top 2 RHD for Ottawa probably playing the second most minutes on the blue line after chabot. Maybe NJ even retains a small portion of sevos contract aswell

We could also add Zaistev in there but doubt that helps.
Not sure Sens needs Wood, make the deal just for Severson.

Ehhhh... 1 year left. Depends on if an extension is in place. Severson is going to look for a big pay day in FA.

Bran/Thomson/JBD, Jarventie/Sokolov for a 2nd in 2024? Turns into 1st in 2024 if Severson is extended.

Unsure with what Miles Wood is worth at this point and Ottawa is pretty set up front...

Severson would be an option, but he's not a guy I'd pay top dollar for at this stage given his UFA status.

Wood is not a needle mover at all for me. Huge injury concerns, and he's not a top 9 guy for Ottawa. They already have guys to bring that jam and energy to the 4th liner next year too. Kelly, Kastelic and Watson all bring that game to the 4th line.
