Getting Tkachuk

Créé par: Hammerwise
Équipe: 2022-23 Flyers de Philadelphie
Date de création initiale: 20 juill. 2022

Description
Sorry, Tkachuk should be 10,750,000, but I've left cap space. There still remains 2mil in cap space.

Lots of youth, 5 forwards and 3 defensemen in 1st or 2nd yr. Butcher is a capable 7th dman, in case Zamula falters at 3LD. RW is young but a good training camp battle with Brink, Allison, Tippett for 2RW and 3RW. LW is solid. Good team speed. Solid defensive partnerships, with a training camp fight for RD.

Devils decline. Jvr leaves us no room to sign Bratt. And why would we help a division rival improve significantly when we could get Tkachuk ourselves

contracts are reasonable but trades are lopsided. not nearly enough futures for cgy and no from kings and devils

plus Philly should start a rebuild not swing for the fences

I wouldn't do that for Tkachuk. Farabee is pretty hard to trade for me he is a great young player that just getting better and on a good contract that makes building a team easier.

You guys literally just had Johnny Hockey basically begging your GM to clear cap to sign him but now you think you are going to trade for Tkachuk and sign him long term...interesting

Why would Nino take a pay cut to play for a worse team? Why would a rebuilding NJD take any part of JVR?

That’s a high price for Tkachuk. I love the dude but definitely not moving Farabee + for him

I’d rather keep his rights and hope something happens that he is able to play soon than trade him. Guy looks like an elite goalie

I think the expectation is he serves his 12 Months of Military Service then he's free to go play in North America. Basically just delays what was supposed to happen this year by a year. I think he probably Sign a Cheap Deal next year acting as a prove it Deal. That's is unless his current Deal still stands for this year.

Only lopsided trade is the devils one… or at least only lopsided one in favour of Philly imo

Partly because NJD aren;t rebuilding forever and they have the pieces now, its also a small price (Blackwood had a horrendous year and is a 2.8 expiring RFA), JVR is a local guy and almost a sure thing to get his 20-25 goals and assist the stalled Nico and Hughes to continue to develop while competing now.

Nino is taking a slight paycut, but coming off a bad year, who is still on the UFA market, theres not a ton of options, and hes 29 and getting good term here and guaranteed top 6 time. Hes out of the picture in CAR, and will be hard poressed to get near 5mil from a contender.

Two radically different type players and secondly the Flyers still have Ellis, (who'll go on LTIR, but was a tad uinknown just a few weeks ago) which kept Flyers from most of the names in UFA. Once they LTIR Ellis, 5mil comes free And then the trade piece prices (Farabee and Sanheim) is 9.65mil, so PHI would have 14mil free

Gaudreau is a 29 yr old coming off a monster career year, who is lightning fast but small. Tkachuk is 24 and plays a nasty, agitating game. Chalk and cheese

I can tell you don’t really know the players your talking about so I’ll help you out

Zac is a good, gritty 4th liner type who never takes a shift off. While a 3rd would be fair, most people on here offer up B+ prospects to land him because what he brings to the table is hard to find

Fed while in the army right now should be back next year. He was an elite goalie in the KHL and a lot of scouts call him the next Ben bishop. Moving him isn’t worth it even though there’s risk he never makes it to the US due to the war.

Sanhiem is a very high end 2-way forward who is looking like he could become elite for that style

Farabee is only 22 and signed to a fantastic contract, he is expected and projected to break the 80 point mark in the next 2-3 years

zac was a waiver claim... nobody sane would or should give you a 3rd

the goalie is a huge risk and you don't take those risk while trading your franchise player.

sanhiem is not very high end but a good 2 way with no cost control and if he wants a raise would immediately become overpaid. (which he already is arguably)

farabee had a great season and a half but is still a risk considering injuries and not being proven and being paid for the next years... he is however by far the best piece of the trade.

still not enough to get MT

if I'm Calgary and have to trade with the flyers it starts with: 2023 and 2024 firsts (unprotected) , provorov, farabee.

1. Fedotov was 15th in the KHL in SV%. Behind guys like Harri Sateri and Kochetkov. Also just went into military service forcibly and was poisoned? probably affecting him.

2. Sanheim is a defenseman.

3. Farabee's career high in points is 38. While he is young and developing, expecting 80 points is a high bar to set.

Ummmmmmmmm…..

Look, I’m not really sure what that response was. I think you mixed up at least one offer since the two goalies being traded by Philly were 1. A goalie swap with a pick involved 2. A goalie and player for picks.. no franchise players involved, but most the other stuff you said left me a bit flabbergasted.
Saying a player doesn’t hold value because of a waiver claim, saying a player is high risk trading a 5th for their rights, saying Sanhiem is overpaid, calling Farabee an injury risk…. Oof

Woah. Poisoned? When did this happen

Yeah, I was trying to see if the guy who I said didn’t know the players would catch on, thanks for that (laughs) okay no, just a brain fart, trying to do too much at once and wrote that wrong… good catch, but yeah, high end 2-way D…

Farabee had 2 seasons under terrible coaches… his potential is very high and as he gets more ice time he will blossom.

"Fedotov fell ill when he was at the enlistment office in St. Petersburg and was later hospitalized, according to RIA Novosti." So as soon as he's arrested in Russia for the military thing, a healthy 25 year old athlete fell ill to the point of being hospitalized. That's why I believe it was poisoning. And it's not far fetched to think so when in Russia. link
