Canes still reject that trade you Canuck fans keep trying to cram down our throats. And you Canuck fans really have a thing for Marino, even though he has already been traded. Let’s just say you won’t be balancing out you roster this year with these proposals.

These are the kind of trades that are circulating online. Ive seen many videos of Marino trades to the Nucks and a couple articles of Miller to the canes. Why do you hate this trade so much? It makes the canes better this year, and they could even re sign Miller. Id love to see the Canes take out NYR in the conference final next year, this trade would make it more likely. Dermott and Bear is a wash, so its basically Miller retained for Necas and Morrow which is a good deal. Also just because Marino was traded doesn't mean he is staying there, NJ may have another trade up their sleeve where they flip Marino and keep Severson.

It might make the Canes better this year, but the Canes aren’t just looking at this year. They are looking to the future as well, and trading Morrow would be a massive mistake, especially for a rental. And Carolina has historically not made those big rental splashes. And for the Canes, he would be a rental because the Canes aren’t going to give him that contract he wants, especially when that same money could be used to resign the majority of the core the very next year. If it comes down to it, the Canes would much rather keep Turbo and Skjei than give up what the Canucks want for Miller. Because if the Canes did trade for and sign Miller, one of Turbo or Skjei would have to walk.

As for why I hate this trade so much, let me flip the script for you. Howwould you feel if you saw EP40 trades everywhere where he was being traded for a third or whatever, or something along those lines that are entirely unrealistic and stupid. You would get sick of that real quick. Canes fans are the same way. Whether it be Petry, Nylander, Miller, Drouin, etc., we have seen about the same trade proposals for a long time and we are tired of seeing the same nonrealistic and stupid trades.

Nope. Hamilton Marino Nemec for a long time in Jersey. Severson will the one moved and Garland doesn’t fit what we need. Rather make a deal for Miller or Boeser but Boeser is unlikely at this point

Doubt the Canes would trade Necas alone for 1yr of Miller, much less add.

Laughable you want Morrow too.

Thought these would die down after everything that happened last week. Canes aren’t going to give up prime assets for Miller when they’re not going to extend him. They only will do true rentals when the cost to acquire is very low and fills a need (see Patches). Van is going to get less for Miller than most of the fans on here think judging off of the other moves so far this offseason.

Probably not actually but I like the comment all the same. Mainly because all Canuck fans would rather shoot themselves in the face than make a smart trade with TO.
