Change Dvorak to Dach and Norlinder to Barron and Winnipeg is talking. You can leave out Poehling, he has no value.

Dvorak for Dach id be fine with. Barron not so much, maybe Harris?

As an LD Harris is the absolute last thing Winnipeg needs, so probably not.

All i read is Winnipeg wants to keep contending now, i don't think they trade Dubois for futures.

I also saw Hughes offered 2 roster player and a pick for Dubois at the draft, and that Dubois was at the draft to be presented to the crowd if it happened.

If he is traded to MTL, it will be for Dvorak+. Maybe Anderson but doubt you want more wingers. If i had to guess, i'd say Dvorak + Barron + FLO 2023 1st.

Also, Hughes won't make that trade before dumping another contract because if he does, other GM will smell blood seeing he need cap space to sign Dubois.

It's possible that deal would work. I'm not a big fan of Dvorak, so I'd prefer to take a chance on Dach, but maybe Chevy likes Dvorak, so who knows.

A deal like that at least gives the Jets pieces they can use.

Why would the Avs take a cap dump when they still need to sign a 2C? Nobody wants Drouin, he has little to no value (even at 50% retained)

KH must just be waiting for Phily to decide to replace Ellis or Dallas to replace Klinger. Whoever gets more desperate

The Jets have no need at LHD so replace Norlinder with Barron, Ylonen or Tuch.

If Montreal was giving away Drouin like that the Jets should totally take him, he'd likely rebound playing with Ehlers.

I think youre the only Jets fan with a clear mind and unbiased opinion. And yeah I'd say Ylonen is a commodity the Habs can afford to lose as Tuch is still an unknown and norlinder is a fringe AHLer at best

I can separate my bias from reality I guess.

I just don't see how Dubois' value isn't down a bit, if he had a contract with like 4 years left on it than yeah he'd be worth more but with only two years of control left and his intentions well known he's not going to return some package with
A-prospects and two 1sts, whats being proposed here with a little modifications is likely the best they'd get considering the situation.

There's also some really bad takes on Dvorak and a firm belief that Florida's 1st is going to be a late one when its possible it could be closer to the middle or late teens, I could see Florida regressing a bit this season.

Also think this idea that they'd get a better or same return if they trade him at the deadline really misses the mark, we pretty much know who the real contenders are for next season, are their late 1sts or better prospects that were likely late 1st or 2nd rounders themselves really so much better?!.. lol .. I really think it's a bad idea to keep a guy around who doesn't want to be on your team much longer than you have to, the Jets already have a known room issue, keeping Dubois for 3/4's of the season isn't going to make that situation any better.

Anyway, those are my thoughts on the PLD situation, its not great for the Jets but it is what it is, best to just cut their losses with the best they can get now and move on imo.
