Don't see the Wings interested in four years of 32 year old Krug and the start of 2023 season. They certainly aren't giving up picks for him. Signing a UFA would better value. Now if Blues want to "Pacioretty" him to the Wings....yea maybe, but still Krug's term is too long.

In the next two years, Wings have Larkin, Bertuzzi and Vrana and in 3 year Seider and Raymond to resign, so no cap to take on Krug.

Zero chance the flames walk him to ufa and then let him leave for free. He either signs a long term deal now with the flames or the flames trade him.

Krug is also 5'9" and Yzerman likes big defenseman. So size, his contract and age all factor in to Detroit declining this trade.

That is an excellent analogy and quite possibly some of the most annoying commercials ever. Is the 30% JG Wentworth charges for the advance of that money more or less than teams will charge to take on that cap?
