Edmonton trade happens if the Oilers move out Barrie. They get a cheaper RD in Holl with one less year and a replacement for Kassian in Simmonds for much less. If you want to be "that" GM, Campbell's rights can be tossed in as well. The Leafs get a young , big frame player with a knack for scoring (just has to work on consistency). If Bunting can wrack up the points he did, I'm sure Pool Party will do just fine.

Ottawa is looking to showcase they are ready to take things to the next level and compete for a playoff spot again (see Debrincat trade). They also have cap space and a desire to give up Murray. While not the best goalie, Toronto does have a fantastic medical team and I wouldn't be surprised to see Murray rebound in a reduced role for the first year. Forementon is a very speedy winger who plays hard and has a high compete level. Basically a replacement for Mickey only with more offensive upside. AND the Leafs get some decent picks to work with in case Dubas makes more terrible signings. Sens get Nylander who is very skilled and will fit in well with the Sens other young players and their styles.

With the signing of Husso, it's looking like Detroit are in the same boat as the Sens. Muzzin agrees to waive for this reason and provides mentorship for the Wings younger players. It's a low risk higher reward for Yzerman and the Leafs shed some salary.

Talbot isn't happy having to split his role currently. Unsure if the value is there from the Leafs perspective, but if it's ballpark I think it's worth pulling the trigger on for one year. Gives Woll and Kallgren another year to further develop their game. Talbot goes to another competitive team and gets starting role back.

Dallas trade may be a stretch. I've personally always liked Hakpana's size and physical play as well as salary hit. Really it's an inexpensive trade that gives Duzzak his request of being traded and some other prospects a fresh start. It could be to anyone for a mire physical DMan to split up games with Lily or fill in for injuries. Other option is to let Rubins be 7th man (Also like his size and play last year).

For what Marchement brings to the table 3.5M can be matched, so I added term and made it 5 years hoping that would seal the deal. His energy and even offensive output would be a welcomed sight on the Leafs team .
