Yeah definitely agree. Moving that pick would be the last thing i would do. Several amazing players available and This team could finish anywhere between 32 and 16th.
I just don’t see us moving for chych at all at this point as our defensive pipeline is stacked.

Fair enough, Columbus has been in rumours to acquire Chychrun though so I wanted to put together the most realistic proposal I could. My thought process was whoever they pick in the 2023 draft won't turn out near as good as Chychrun is, and Columbus being a fringe playoff team, probably woldn't even have a top 10 pick.

Chychrun was probably just too expensive for Jarmo and the chances of them trading for him really went out the window with Mateychuk at 12. It's looking more and more likely that they're going to ride things out with their current defensive group and maybe add a depth veteran in a minor trade or through free agency for 2-3 years until Jiricek and Mateychuk are ready.

Id be cool with this for the sabres
