Something surreal about MAF and Holtby on the same roster.

Had the same thought when I signed Holtby while making this thread. Two really good goalies in their prime, Fleury is an HOF lock and I could see a case for Holtby with his cup winning performance, Vezina and Jennings.

MAF has definitely aged better than Holtby. Both probably make the hall.

I think 2nd year Boldy, Rossi, and Puljujarvi can easily make up for the offense lost with trading Fiala!

I really like the idea of surrounding Rossi with two big wingers. Puljujarvi just hasn't been able to unlock that offensive potential in the NHL but we all know he has it based on his season in Liiga. I like the idea of buying low, if Talbot wants out we're better off making a move like this than getting a 3rd or something next year. I'd prefer to swing higher on someone like Necas (or Dach before he was moved), but Puljujarvi isn't a bad option, we could definitely use a right shot player who has scoring potential.

I think his size, effort, and straight-line speed would be a great fit with Boldy and Rossi!!

What about Evan Rodrigues? Right shot, RW, who put up 14 goals with the Pens last year. He's 25 and had a 1 year 1M contract last year. I think we could get him for 2-3M AAV.

I will almost guarantee Guerin’s issue with these guys is character and attitude deficiencies…
