They can buy out Mrazek for $1M against cap, and with adding Holl, they then breakeven. That being said, they can move Holl at the deadline or even flip him for assets. Almost has more value being traded from Ottawa, because the Sens don't actually care about the cap implications this year, but they will in the future.

No incentive for Sens to do that. They already have two goalies at nhl level so wouldn’t want to take one back. Especially when it’s Mrazek and now they’re taking on more cap with retention and incoming cap dumps than if they had just kept Murray or bought him out.

Teams aren’t just going to line up to help the leafs out. Take into account what another team needs or why they would do something.
