Hmm, I much prefer Perunovich but I did see something about how the Blues might be unwilling to have both Krug and Scottie on the same blue-line. Romanov seems somewhat useful, more so than I expected.

I'd move Krug before Scottie right now if I could. I know he's kind of unproven but I really think the kid is special. Is there a swap for a bigger D man out there that makes sense?

I think I prefer Scotties game too. Very calculated and composed.

The kids skating is smooth as butter and the little slap passes he does are sick af. God I really hope we can add a Parayko partner without giving him up.

of course! Blues like Perunovich a lot. In playoffs he QBed a PP unit and did amazing. Even topped Minnesota on it. He has been one of the better performing defenseman we had over the playoff run. His potential as a top 4 even top pairing defenseman is amazing and what we hope for and on a bridge deal for maybe about 1M 1.5M because he's gonna get more than 875K just so you know. Romanov is not great in finishing like Perunovich is, he's very poor in his own zone. Perunovich has done solid in his own zone. Specific advanced stats say he's got better teammates than the competition he's playing which means he's sort of sheltered. And he has never played PP or PK. Perunovich does and we know what we have in him. Romanov is a hit or miss risk for what Perunovich brings I don't think they want to invest such a big prospect piece as NHL considered him a Top 20 prospect, in comparison to Romanov.

So cap wise it would be smart I see that, but still no. Perunovich isn't quite ready for the huge numbers, but I wouldn't trade him either.

Of course, but it kinda seems like they're saying they'd ditch Krug for Scotty today.

I just look at it as MTL giving the more proven player. Younger, has seen a lot more NHL ice and looks to be a more physical dman then St Louis really has. Totally different players that but will be interesting to see how they fill out Thier individual roles on teams.
