The occasional "reunite the Boqvists" deals from Devils fans are interesting, but I don't think that means there's an appetite for us poaching the 2nd overall with him.

It depends on what you think of his development curve. Still think the value isn't quite there. The 2nd doesn't make sense.

For the Draft Pick GSVA chart 8OA (Boqvist's pick) and 12OA are about equal to the 2OA. It remains to be seen whether Boqvist is actually an average 8th overall pick but he certainly has promise and really compelling comparables in terms of production. If he plays in a system that exits the zone better than CBJ he'd look really good. His offense and shooting are off the charts for a defenseman his age.

I'm not sure NJD want him considering they already have Dougie Hamilton and Luke Hughes in the club so it's probably a moot point.

Don't think CBJ take Slafkovsky there though, still need center talent and Cooley is on the board.

I think 6 OA and Boqvist for 2OA is pretty close.

Devils weren't willing to part with the 2nd OA for Fiala straight up. I think if the devils move the pick it would have to include a star player.

I don't think I would trade Slaf/Wright for Boq and Savoie or Kemmell if both RHD are off the board by then.

One of the RD or Gauthier would be there. I think Fitz would jump all over Gauthier.

In this case, Jackets would have 2OA and 6OA at the expense of 12OA. So theoretically you take Cooley at 2 and hope that Jiricek is still there a few picks later. Probably either no chance or really point of trading up to the three picks in between for him. Therefore, trading up for 2OA and drafting Jiricek are two separate events.
