I think Debrusk for Brown and a later pick would be good enough. Love CB, but DeBrusk could really explode in OTT. Studnicka has no value to OTT, so Brown and a 5th or 6th would suffice. Brown would be a great fit in BOS.

IT's funny........Brown got replaced by Hyman, then Hyman with Bunting. All similar players. Would love to see all 3 on this team at a combined cap hit of 10Mil. This team would actually win a cup

The Senators are a budget team. They will trade Brown to dump his salary to subsidize their "top 6 forward + top 4 d" they supposedly want to acquire. Unless they are super high on Debrusk, and feel he can be that guy instead of a Fiala type, they don't make this trade.

Anybody following the team closely knew Brown was gone before it was even rumored by Friedman. Sens were never going to re-sign a 30 year old luxury top 9 match up winger to a 4M+ contract long term when they are a budget team, and it is pretty clear they will need to dump salary to make room for their supposed targets. Especially so if Giroux comes on board.

Yeah not sure why the Bruins make the move for someone older who needs a contract next year which will be higher than that of JDB. Bruins will likely keep JDB now that the coach is gone, or they trade him in a hockey trade to get better with someone with term.
