Been seeing a lot of sense fans sending Del Zotto back to Columbus. He was a part of the team that Jarmo described as losing its character and care for each other in the room. I doubt they consider bringing him back.

Murray will cost you a first to dump even with 50% retention.

Arizona never takes it because they think it's 2019 and Chychrun is a top 3 league defender, but he's severely regressed and will probably get moved down to the second pairing when the Sens' prospects develop. With Zaitsev they get a piece they can flip for low picks, a top 40 pick and a prospect with middle 6 potential who plays decently, though he doesn't score as much as we'd like. I'd be as generous as to add another second round pick because of his good contract.

The leafs would be taking a gamble on a healthy Murray. Keep in mind that most of his poor play was with severe injuries. He was making a slight comeback near the end of the season before he got injured again. If he can return to that, I think the Leafs would be happy to take a low starting / tandem goalie with retained salary making for a small cap hit, keeping in mind that they likely cannot afford Campbell.

I never even heard of this, I just assumed Columbus would take the camp dump for the picks. If this is true, we'll probably have to buy him out (or worse, send him to Arizona).

Yeah it was part of the "behind the battle" series that Columbus puts on their YouTube page. He gave a short speech in the locker room before the season started about how the team had gotten away from its values the year before and specifically mentioned respecting each other in the room as one of those values. Leads me to think there was some real untold drama in the CBJ room last season.

Zaitsev is a cap dump, Boucher is a bum, and the picks are irrelevant.

Not enough value in Chychrun or Cat.

Will have to bite the bullet and part with something that hurts, also, why chase Chychrun when you would ideally be after a RD?

Campbell is looking for 5x5... I would rather give him the 5M than take on Murray at 4.7
